Heidi Minten

Heidi Minten studied piano at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp, where she obtained first prizes for piano, solfège and chamber music. She became piano laureate at the National Music Competition Pro Civitate, where she also received the Special Prize for piano accompaniment. At the moment, Heidi is piano teacher at the music academy of Beringen and the music high school Kindsheid Jesu in Hasselt.

A few years ago, Heidi founded the group Witches Brew, in which she combines contemporary rock music with classical instruments. With Witches Brew, she has sung and played at almost all major Flemish festivals, including Marktrock Leuven, Gentse Feesten and Lokerse Feesten. She is currently writing works for piano solo, quatre-mains and other instruments.
