I Dare Not Ask a Kiss is dedicated to the composer’s wife, soprano Anne Cambier. Inspired by the nuanced and delicate poetry of Robert Herrick (1591-1674), the composer has created a tender and intimate song. The accompanying audio recording showcases Anne Cambier’s performance with the ensemble I Justiniani, under the direction of Stijn Saveniers.
